Thank you for visiting my little corner of the world wide web.
I am a full time model, currently residing in exciting Toronto but working worldwide. I have been modelling for many years and have gained extensive experience in fashion, portrait, and art (nude) photography.
I have been lucky enough to work with many talented people over the years, please see a selection of collaborations in the galleries section.
If you are interested in booking me for work (wherever you are), please send me a message and we’ll make it happen.

Hair and make-up
I am able to do my own basic make-up and hair up to a good level. Please let me know beforehand what style/look you are looking for, preferably with some example images so I can prepare. My hair is naturally very curly (obviously), I can create a more wavy look by putting in big rollers. (see examples of this look in the Kenneth Lam gallery). If you would like to shoot me with straight hair, you’ll have to book a hair stylist. I have tried it myself many times, without success :-).
I own a wide range of clothes to suit almost every style. I also sew quite a lot, so if you are looking for something quite specific that is not available in the shops, I might be able to sew it for you. (please note I charge extra for sewing my outfit and need at least 2 weeks notice).
When shooting fashion I strongly suggest to book a MUA and a stylist for that professional touch to make the images look magazine ready :-). Feel free to contact me for recommendations on a MUA or stylist.
Fredau Hoekstra is a full time freelance model with over 6 years of experience posing mainly for art-nude and fashion nude photography. She was born and raised in The Netherlands as the oldest of 4 sisters, with the happiest childhood memories being the ones of summer holidays camping with the whole family. After high school she went on to study Communications and this brought her to live in Edinburgh, Scotland for a while. It was in this beautiful city that she met her now husband, drummer Chris Wallace.
After finishing her bachelor degree she decided to permanently move to Edinburgh. While frantically searching for a decent job during the credit crunch, the opportunity arose to do some modelling work. After about 6 months of doing a few shoots here and there, she made the leap to go full time and never looked back. In the following couple of years she managed to gain herself a respectable reputation in the art-photography scene both in the UK and mainland Europe. In these years she was lucky enough to travel all over Europe and work with many amazing and well established photographers. In December 2013 Fredau moved to Toronto to start a new life in her husbands native Canada.
